What equipment do we have and where is it?

Netpresto's servers and communications equipment are housed at the Telehouse Data Centre in Docklands, London.
Why? Because Telehouse offers unrivalled security together with resilient power supply. It is also the best place to peer with other ISPs and has bandwidth available from many (if not all) of the providers out there.

All of our servers are intel based, dual processor machines with RAID hard disks and controllers and UPS. This gives us optimum performance as well as a very resilient hardware platform. We run Linux and Apache web server on our servers because of it's robust, flexible nature. This means that our servers have uptimes of months rather than the days that some alternatives can offer. It also means that we are able to install most of the latest versions of software as they become available.

How much bandwidth do we have?

Well the short answer is - always enough - because we constantly monitor and evaluate our performance to ensure that we have adequate resources to meet our customers demands. This question is one that we are regularly asked but what really matters is how much we have Vs how much we need to match demand. Is a 48 seater bus better than a 12 seater? Answer - how many people want to get on?
We have bags of bandwidth and ensure that we are always running with spare capacity.
